Piano Patrol Content Creation
You can create your own PianoPatrol content, including custom levels, courses, and musical programs. For example, you can take a song you love and design PianoPatrol levels, progressively building up to playing the entire song in the final level.
You can also add explanatory videos to your levels, either before they start or after they end.
Another exciting feature is Piano Karaoke. You can include a background music or accompaniment soundtrack. For instance, the background track could feature a singer and a guitar while the PianoPatrol player performs the piano part. Alternatively, the background track could provide the left-hand accompaniment chords, leaving the player to focus on the right-hand melody.
How to Design PianoPatrol Levels
To design a new level, you will need the sheet music for that level (there are millions of free sheet music resources available online) or create your own using music notation software. Most popular notation software allows you to export your work into a MusicXML file.
PianoPatrol levels are based on MusicXML files, one of the most widely used formats for representing sheet music.
Each level in PianoPatrol is built on a MusicXML file. A level can use specific sections, such as just a few measures, the right-hand staff, or the left-hand staff. Often, a single MusicXML file is used for multiple levels, with the final level encompassing the entire piece.
